Hello all, this is my wrap up report for 2023.

Weather has been probably the most challenging thing throughout the year with water still being the main problem either from the sky or from the council water tanks but with great work from the course staff and volunteers the course has remained playable for nearly all the time excluding a few days here and there.

The club returned to pennant play after missing a few years, we played in Senior Pennant on Thursdays and Handicap Pennant played on Sundays.
The Senior team represented the club with pride and the Handicap team made it all the way to the finals, which they fought well but came up a little short.
I would like to congratulate and thank all players that played plus thank you to all the supporters, special thank you goes to John Martin who organized all the food for our home games.

In October, we played the Midweek Senior Club Championship with the winners;

In November, we played the Club Championship played on Sundays, the winners being;

C Grade Nett – Matt Fiddian
Congratulations ALL. Thank you to Craig & Lee for mowing the greens before we teed off on Championship days.

Congratulations to Jack J who finished 3^rd at the Champions of Champions and Clinton Connolly who represented the club at the VGL Medal of Medalists.

I will like to personally like to thank Clinton Connolly, Ken Hawkins, Wayne Edwards and Ken Hanna for being on my match committee throughout the year and Stewart Moore for being an advisor, proof reader, results gatherer plus many extra things he has done throughout the year. Thank you also to Mark and his team in the Pro Shop for all their great service throughout the year.

Congratulations to Justin for winning the Tuesday competition this week!

Last night, Monday 11^th December, the new Committee met for the first time following the AGM a couple of weeks ago.

John Martin, who has been President for the past 12 months, formally resigned from the position at the start of the meeting.
The Committee, who as per the AGC Constitution were able to fill the casual vacancy, voted Tony Bromilow in as President with Peter Buller remaining as the Vice President of the AGC.

“I’d like to thank John, on behalf of the AGC Committee, for his work and efforts during the past 12 months in his time as President,” Tony Bromilow said.
“He has given up so much of his time to improve things for members, particularly on competition days and increase the social aspect of the golf club.”

“I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Stewart Moore and Ken Hanna for their efforts over the past 12 months while serving on the AGC Committee.”
