Last night, Monday 11th December, the new Committee met for the first time following the AGM a couple of weeks ago.
John Martin, who has been President for the past 12 months, formally resigned from the position at the start of the meeting.
The Committee, who as per the AGC Constitution were able to fill the casual vacancy, voted Tony Bromilow in as President with Peter Buller remaining as the Vice President of the AGC.
“I’d like to thank John, on behalf of the AGC Committee, for his work and efforts during the past 12 months in his time as President,” Tony Bromilow said.
“He has given up so much of his time to improve things for members, particularly on competition days and increase the social aspect of the golf club.”
“I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Stewart Moore and Ken Hanna for their efforts over the past 12 months while serving on the AGC Committee.”

“I look forward to working with the Committee to continue to improve the golf club and the golf course, making this a great place for people to play and socialise,” said Tony.
“We have great staff, the course is in excellent condition but there is still work to be done and we’ll keep everyone up to date as we go along.”
