Kolonga Ladies Christmas Event

Last week, during their usual Wednesday morning at the Edithvale Public Golf Course, the Kolonga Ladies Social Club held their “Fun Day 2020” and Christmas breakup.

The event was well attended by their members, both playing golf and then enjoying food and drink in the clubhouse but the highlight of the day was the “interesting” rules created for their round of golf.

Here’s a run down of the rules they used on the day:

HOLE 1: You may tee off two balls and choose the best one to continue to the hole.
HOLE 2: Once your ball is on the green you must remain silent until the last ball in your group has been holed. Penalty for talking is two strokes.
HOLE 3: Bingo, Bango, Bongo – you play this hole as normal but don’t score until you get close to the green. Whoever hits onto the green first gets two points (Bingo). Whoever gets closest to the hole when all players are on the green on their next shot gets two points (Bango). Whoever gets into the hole first gets two points (Bongo).
HOLE 4: You must use the same club that you tee off with until you reach the green.
HOLE 5: You cannot use a wood or a hybrid to tee off but you must use a tee.
HOLE 6: If you land in a bunker you may take a drop at line of entry with a two shot penalty.
HOLE 7: Bingo, Bango, Bongo
HOLE 8: Play as normal
HOLE 9: Play as first hole, tee off two balls and choose the best one.

To top it all off, all players were only allowed three clubs and a putter for their entire round!

It was great to see everyone having such a great time and from the Australasian Golf Club, we wish them all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
